- Dingo Dizmal Thank you friends, your support and love means so much to me.The trial is in October, there is a donation button on Rootbeer's FB page if you want to help out.We didn't mention anything to the kids but we also didn't have to...can't deny reality. At first my kids wouldn't make eye contact with me. They looked everywhere else and talked to everyone else (including the dog and cat) then my little boy said "hi Dad". It was awkward for a little bit but soon we were laughing together and being who we are. We quickly re-learned everything about each other and hugged a lot. The whole theme of the evening was "damn that whole separation thing was frikkin pointless. Dad and Olive are the same protective, loving, joyful people they always were. As soon as we dropped them off both of us teared up and sat there sobbing silently too broke up to move or even look at each other. We cried the whole very long way home with the smell of the dog I haven't seen in years still on my hands. We were not sad for ourselves, it was tears for the kids. They were tears for creatures harmed for no good reason. When this is over I plan to be a champion for folks in my situation. I got my head up (in no small part thanks to you Jokers):)
