Last week I brought an 80pc. case of our crayons to SCRAP (School & Community,Re Use action Project)

...and those nice folks made some cool looking packaging for our rubber chicken crayons.

They like recycled and so 100 percent recycled sounded great for sale in the resale shop that is attached!

piles and piles, bins boxes and racks of inexpensive materials from the arts and industry. All donated.

I have been a fan of SCRAP since they started around the corner from the first Clown House over on Mississippi ave. I love scrap for obvious reasons but I also like that they provide materials for Portland's wing-nut population...people who make stuff like this.

I was stoked to see some other recrafted wing-nuttery..fake felt food!!!!hahahahahahahaha!

Olive carved her own rubber chicken color crayon.

Looks like we are gonna need to create a more kid friendly coloring book.
Olive carved the design for her own line of color crayons. Then her and Steven C. (a local amazing sculptor) expertly copied and created a mold for some home manufacturing.
One of our brainiest friends did a toxicology study on our enterprise and found it to be non toxic.

The wax carving Olive did was rendered into this cast resin and Bronze dust one. This thing is heavy and it can even be polished.

Now when we sell coloring books we can also offer Color crayons that we made ourselves. You can only go so far making other people's dreams come true. To really make it you have to seize the day yourself ..with your song and your brand. Then if it all falls apart there is nobody to blame and you can know you did a good job.
