Story Time in the Brooklyn neighborhod! Warehouse cafe very Tuesdays 10 am

The balloons come at the end but I couldn't wait to upload this great pic of Olive.

Story time is all about getting them socialised and ready for kindergarden. I love the Story Timers and have gotten to know and grow with a bunch of them after all this time. When September came lots of our kids moved on. I was sad to see them go but another wave of bright faces are in our lives again. I feel lucky to have stumbled on this job right when I needed it.

Today the kids were cracking me up!

This place cares about things I care about, sustainable agriculture, kids, good food, good community.

Gotta take time to stop and eat the roses.

I'm calling her phone to tell her how much I love her and how pleased I am to be sharing this adventure with her...she is ignoring her phone while she stares at her man in delight. aaaawww.

Olive is an easy date to feed, beans, rice, guacamole, corn tortillas...and she paid for it all.
OK this place is doing something the Mexican food joint at Powell and 41st can't seem to figger out. They prepare the beans correctly and don't destroy them with salt and over cooking...haha sounds simple huh?

I'm into the Manchaca burrito with Iced Tea. I'm allergic to the wheat in the tortila but I'm really hungry and I don't mind the itching if the food is worth it.

The idea was to busk balloons but It's gloomy, the kids are in school and the street is lousy with bums. I counted 6 able bodied beggars on one intersection. People give them money not realizing that they are funding a drunken second hand smoke party that scares away my clientele. Please don't feed the bears! With that option gone I gotta go home to make crayons and write this. Back out in an hour.

They have our Rubber Chicken Crayons at the Dollar Scholar on SE 34th & Hawthorne.
